Anise oil is obtained from the dried fruit of Anise or Pimpinella Anisum of the Umbelliferae family by Steam Distillation. Anise was originally native to the Middle East and is now been cultivated in all parts of the world like the USA, Europe, and, North America. It has a pungent licorice-like smell and is also known as anise and sweet cumin.
