It has an intense floral aroma. The chemical components of Jasmine Grandiflorum oil are benzyl acetate, benzyl alcohol, benzyl benzoate, linalool, indole, geraniol, cis-jasmone, and methyl. This Oil has antiseptic, anti-depressant, anti-spasmodic, and expectorant therapeutic properties.

The origin of the plant is China and India and later on, it was brought to Spain by the Moors. France, Italy, Morocco, Egypt, China, Japan, and Turkey produce the best Jasminum grandiflorum oil in the world today.

The oil is extracted from the flower part using a solvent extraction process.
