Extracted from the leaves and stalks of the lemongrass plant, lemongrass oil has a powerful, citrus scent. It's often found in soaps and other personal care products. Lemongrass oil can be extracted, and it's been used by healthcare providers to treat digestive problems and high blood pressure.

Lemongrass essential oil is obtained by the steam distillation of grass of Cymbopogon Flexuosus. The oil is golden yellow to brownish yellow in colour. It is a free-flowing liquid, with a characteristic citrus-lemony odour.

Extraction of lemongrass essential oil is done using steam distillation of lemongrass herbs. To get therapeutic and healing properties of this essential oil, the raw material is sundried for 3 days and kept for 3 days at room temperature. Dried lemongrass herbs are then cut to small pieces.
