Palmarosa oil is obtained by the steam distillation of the grass of Cymbopogon martini Stapf var. motia. The oil is a pale yellow, free-flowing liquid that is sweet and floral, with a hint of the smell of a rose. The main component of the oil is Geraniol.

Palmarosa oil is unique because its main body is a sweet geranium with a moderate lemony scent. It's a citrusy sweet rose with the perfect amount of lemon. Other characteristics: dry, metallic, rose, herb.
